Courtney Barnett Announces New Album + Shares Single 'Rae Street'
Courtney Barnett's third studio album Things Take Time, Take Time is in our sights, due for release this September on Milk! Records. Today Barnett shares the charming lead single 'Rae Street' and begins her 11-stop solo Aotearoa tour at Napier's Cabana venue. Written and recorded over the past two years, Things Take Time, Take Time sees the Melbourne folk wonder invite fans further in to her world with some of her most personal songwriting yet, "dealing unabashedly with love, patience, healing and self-discovery". This first taste, the album's opening track, builds a vivid image of Melbourne suburbia and arrives with a video set in a cul-de-suc populated by Courtney Barnett replicas.
Although it's been promised she'll be performing songs from albums Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit and Tell Me How You Really Feel, I reckon there's a pretty high chance July tour attendees will be treated to a bit of 'Rae Street' too. Dates and details below, plus scroll down for the opportunity to win a double pass to see Barnett at Auckland Town Hall on 25th July as part of Elemental Nights 2021...
