Disciple Pati is the latest pop gem to indulge in my current favourite music video trend: revenge fantasies featuring a welcome amount of butt, a la Megan Thee Stallion's pièce de résistance 'Thot Shit'. For her latest drop 'Serious', created with producer Edy, Disciple Pati "channelled my violent inner sadist for this moment so y'all don't have to", opening on a production meeting gone sour before the track launches and payback begins. Co-directed by Disciple Pati and DOP Shae Sterling, the pink-trimmed visuals were made with support from NZ On Air, and are the perfect complement to Pati's catchy pop / RnB songwriting chops.
