Reb Fountain Announces 'IRIS' Album Release Tour + Shares Single / Video 'Lacuna'

Fresh from packing out Auckland Town Hall as part of Flying Nun's 40th Anniversary celebrations and touring with Crowded House, Reb Fountain has announced a whirlwind four date release tour for her forthcoming new studio album IRIS. Winner of the Taite Music Prize for her 2020 self-titled album, Fountain has also unfurled third single from the record 'Lacuna' (meaning "a blank space or a missing part") — a synth-inflected, dark-toned chugging groover reflecting upon "what’s it like to grow into oneself, to wrestle with the intangible nature of our human condition, to see who we are. Unifying our many selves - the sum of our parts." Created with support from NZ On Air, director Lola Fountain-Best's video for the song adopts a slyly playful tone, showing Fountain interacting with and activating Queenstown's beautiful natural environment via some particularly slick moves and questing spirit.

Launching on 1st October, Fountain will be joined on her IRIS record release tour by live band including Dave Khan, Earl Robertson and Karin Canzek, all of whom contributed to the recording of 'Lacuna' with co-producer Simon Gooding. Fountain shed light on the album's title...
