French For Rabbits Share Single / Video 'Ouija Board'
It's an outstanding Friday for revellers of dream-pop and really cool masks, with Pōneke outfit French For Rabbits revealing the second single and video from their hotly awaited third album The Overflow. The new track 'Ouija Board' arrives with a Misma Andrews directed 16mm video, made with support from NZ On Air and creative dream team Martin Sagadin, Ezra Simons and mask-maker Donna Demente. For a song that sees the light in the darkness of hitting rock bottom, the eerie Friday 13th release date and unsettling visuals complement 'Ouija Board' very well. Four bemasked beings meet their technicolour selves and have to choose between here or there.. or be forever alone.
On the forthcoming record, French For Rabbits front person Brooke Singer explains the essence of The Overflow, "I really love what we’ve made. It’s my favourite record of ours. I think we found a middle ground between the complexity and nuance we love, and some more immediately accessible, big honest feelings". Mark November 12th in your calendars, as there'll be plenty more where this came from...
French for Rabbits' album 'The Overflow' is out 12 November via AAA records, Reckless Yes (UK) and A Modest Proposal (Italy).
