Listen To Valentina's Debut Album 'Renaissance'

Like a phoenix rising from the glitter, Rose Muollo-Gray bids the Hybrid Rose moniker farewell and reemerges in full neon chrome as Valentina to deliver her new album Renaissance. The Pōneke-based producer and songwriter credits the album with helping her "purge a lot of thoughts / feelings", and speaking to RadioActive said it was something to channel her big, chaotic feelings into so that she could keep up with "the Wellington flow" without losing her shit. For all the electrifying hyperpop on Renaissance, Valentina also looked to classical composition for inspiration, heard most clearly on the epic instrumental title track and album closer 'The New Empress' featuring Hong Kong artist XTIE. Cross your fingers and toes, hopefully the release of Renaissance denotes live shows in the not too distant future...
