Co-founder of one of the UTR office's fave local duos of recent times Blush Juliet, Tāmaki Makaurau's Alessandra (Archi) Banal makes a welcome return with two new solo tunes out today, along with shimmering DIY visuals for both songs. Written during last year's Level 4 lockdown and released during 2021's less than thrilling sequel version, the EP brings together two threads of Banal's musical practice. Mixed and mastered by Eddie Johnston (Lontalius), highly relatable emotive strummer 'Mind Is Dumb' stares down the barrel of endless drab days, while 'Danceroom' is a bleary-eyed, dream-pop drone-scape of celestial electronics and zoned guitar.
