Renée Millner Shares New Single / Video 'So Much'

Chris Cudby / Friday 10th September, 2021 10:49AM

Taranaki-based songwriter Renée Millner has a new single out today tackling the highly relatable theme of self-acceptance, launched with stunning cinematic visuals by Hugo Eaton. A stirring soul-folk anthem of resilience, 'So Much' helps keep spirits high during these current energy-draining times for our community — reminding us we can regain strength by walking our own creative pathways and to keep pesky naysayers at bay. The big-hearted number's celebratory clip is like a feature film in miniature — staring actor Leon Crean (Taranaki Hard) who struggles with the ghost of self-doubt around visual identity, in the hope of finding love and acceptance at a family reunion. Experience the video below and head along to Millner's single release event, happening at New Plymouth's 4th Wall Theatre on Saturday 9th October...

"I didn't set out to write an anthem about love and self-acceptance, however, it turned into me writing a conversation between the two voices in my head. The one that sometimes forgets its beauty and uniqueness, as opposed to the one who always has your back, who possesses incredible resilience. I believe that message, as cliche as it may sound, is a message of hope that young people struggling can easily relate to. And having Leon as the lead, brings those two voices to the forefront through the visual presentation of the song". — Renée Millner

'So Much' is out today on major streaming platforms.
