Watch Sarah Valintine's Joyful Video For 'Flown Away'
Tāmaki-based folk songwriter and poet Sarah Valintine takes you by the hand on a whirlwind, loved-up tour of her favourite city spots in the carefree clip for 'Flown Away'. Recorded at The Lab studios with Olly Harmer, 'Flown Away' dropped into our laps in July as the second single from Valintine's forthcoming debut album The Poetry Pop Collection. Vivid in its poetic storytelling and earnest acoustic melodies, the whimsical single first hit our ears and our hearts without visual accompaniment, but today Valintine and editor / director Thomas Coffey share a video to match. Appropriately dressed in rosy hues and donning a bright red lip ("hot pink got my best dress on, I remember my red lips"), Valintine and her guitar spin and dance through the Winter Gardens, Dominion Road and St Kevin's Arcade, flashing charming grins and stolen looks to the camera.
Between 'Flown Away' and lead track 'Closer', the Orewa-raised pop-poetry troubadour no doubt has a flurry of heart-on-her-sleeve creations in store on upcoming album The Poetry Pop Collection. Live vicariously through the hot-spot hopping Sarah Valintine in her brand new clip...
