Balu Brigada Share Single / Video 'Number One'
Brothers Henry and Pierre Beasley aka Aotearoa's Balu Brigada are back with ambitious new dance-pop bop 'Number One', out today with summery visuals directed by Riley Coughlin and made with support from NZ On Air. Described by the pair as “a drunken slur of a love song, a version of the infatuation narrative that’s not supposed to be eloquent or delicate, just spontaneous and love-struck,” the song's accompanying clip does a rock solid job conjuring those hazy feelings — matching dazed yet sneakily infectious melodies with cheerfully chill, VHS-distressed footage of the group hitting the highway, shooting hoops and all around hanging loose whilst rocking a stylie George Clanton-like look. Crossed fingers 'Number One' is indeed a self-fulfilling prophecy on NZ's music charts, get in on the ground floor here...
'Number One' is out now via major streaming services.
