While locked down in Tāmaki Makaurau, band frontman Dillon Feeney (Dirty Pixels) has made hay of the slower pace of life, putting to work the few instruments and recording gear he has around the house and laying down four seriously mellow, sweltering guitar tracks. On Variation From F To U Feeney describes himself as a "poor man's Ry Cooder", a la Paris, Texas, hoping to conjure up visions of vast deserts and lone highways with his folk pluckings, adorned with piano, shaker and hazy harmonica.
