Aotearoa Level 2 Gigs For The Weekend

Aotearoa Level 2 Gigs For The Weekend

Chris Cudby / Image: Lake South / Wednesday 6th October, 2021 2:33PM

While Tāmaki Makaurau presently exists in a kind of quantum state for live shows (greetings from Level 3), everybody in Aotearoa outside of the super city borders can continue to enjoy seated gigs, with capacity now unrestricted to socially distanced punters (1 metre apart) under Alert Level 2. Here's our ever-expanding weekly rundown of shows happening all around the country this Friday and Saturday, including Goya, Lake SouthMousey and the Stings Metal Fest in Hastings. Don't forget to stay masked when you're not sipping on a thirst quenching bevvy — the newly updated Level 2 guidelines for bars can be found HERE and for events / entertainment HERE.

We encourage everyone to get vaccinated so that gigs can roll out unrestricted again, and we're looking forward to hearing more details about the forthcoming Vaccine Passport system. If you haven't got your first jab yet, please do so as soon as possible (I've done it, it was no hassle at all) — it's the most empowering and direct way you can support our live music community.
