Watch Vanessa Worm Perform At 95bFM's Drive Island

Based in Tāmaki Makaurau our team are absolutely hankering to experience live shows again, as the whole concept is currently feeling a bit abstract from our Alert Level 3 perspective. Thankfully the 95bFM gang remind us of the amazing kinds of gigs we can look forward to once venues finally open up, unveiling over the weekend superb footage of Aotearoa electronic innovator Vanessa Worm playing at the super city's Ellen Melville Centre in late 2020, as part of their free all-ages series of Drive Island events. Usually witnessed performing to throngs of amped-up club-goers in such environs as Catacombs and Newtown Festival, it's a rare treat to see Worm playing in a more intimate setting, channeling the more supernatural avant-folk elements found on her standout VANESSA 77 debut album to a bean bag-seated crowd. That's not to say ragers aren't represented, quite the opposite as the guitar-wielding artist busts out powerful versions of live faves 'Satisfaction' and 'Heaven To Hell' — experience the full set here...
