Uncle Quentin Returns With Single 'BIG D NRG'

Uncle Quentin Returns With Single 'BIG D NRG'

Annabel Kean / Thursday 28th October, 2021 11:56AM

BDE is so 2018. This year is all about that 'BIG D NRG' (Big Depression Energy), brought to you by our favourite unhinged Canterbury bred Melburnian Uncle Quentin aka Tim Moore (co-author with Marlon Williams of the 2015 Silver Scroll-nominated 'Dark Child'). Peering out from behind the signature frayed eye-holes of a homemade balaclava, the electronic-pop enigma shares 'BIG D NRG' as the first single from forthcoming mixtape 10 Apocalyptic Classics, out on Ōtautahi imprint Melted Ice Cream this December. 'BIG D NRG' is all sinister synth and filthy self-deprecation, drawing you in with a playful groove, only to drench you Carrie-styles in pitch-distorted outro chaos. This single and its companion track 'SPLIT ME OPEN' are getting the 7" lathe cut treatment curtesy of Christchurch whizz kid Johnny Electric, available to pre-order now so you can get your mitts on it ASAP once the double single drops late next month. Spice up your Thursday with the latest from Uncle Quentin, and look no further than the cover art for your 2021 Halloween look...

Uncle Quentin's '10 Apocalyptic Classics' mixtape is out December 8th via Melted Ice Cream.
