Like a month long festival of indie-pop delights, the album celebrations for Vera Ellen's much-loved It's Your Birthday just keep on coming. Nearly four weeks since the LP dropped, Ellen and videographer Al Kalyk share a gorgeous clip for tear-jerker track 'Joy', the album's closing song. Shot during the It's Your Birthday listening party at her home in LA, Kalyk follows Ellen as she weaves in and out of conversations, pets a dog, and dodges the smoke of a glowing brazier fire. Prepare to feel all the feelings with this video, with the Girl Friday vocalist staring deep into your soul as she sings a song she wrote "for my nephews and nieces, who forgave me over and over for leaving them to pursue music, and who love me unconditionally", not to mention the god-damn heart-squeezing '90s home video of a baby Vera Ellen being sung a Polish lullaby by her family.
