Enigmatic yet globally famed Te Awanga multi-instrumentalist Connan Mockasin has reemerged with new album Jassbusters Two, the second in a series of soundtracks to his ongoing filmic opus Bostyn n Dobsyn (those are the title characters on the album cover). Recorded by Mockasin with bandmates Matthew Eccles, Rory McCarthy and guest bassist Nicholas Harsant, the seven track collection is named after "the most tangible band of imagined music teachers the world has never seen" — blurring distinctions between fiction and reality with dreamlike themes to imaginary daytime television soap operas. Sounding so laid back and casual the band could have had their feet up during the entire session, does the long player's existence suggest there could be even more Jassbusters material on the way? More mysteries to consider, delve into the new record's syrupy sonics and noodly meanderings below, co-produced by none other than Liam Finn...

'Jassbusters Two' is out today via Mexican Summer.
