For no other reason than to just have a bloody good time, 100% GOOD and Meow are putting on an absolute beast of a Pōneke Christmas show, featuring four first class local acts. Coming in hot from the LA, pop-rock songwriter Vera Ellen returns to her home town this summer and will be playing a solo set no doubt packed with tracks from her new Flying Nun album It's Your Birthday. Along with Pōneke indie-pop hot shots Soft Plastics, chart-topping punk crew Dick Move are making the trip from Tāmaki to put on one of their iconic live sets, with Race Banyon (Lontalius' DJ alter-ego) on last, playing floor-filling tunes into the night...

From her marvellous solo album It's Your Birthday, watch the clip for Vera Ellen's 'Crack The Whip'...

All this and more in store for another stellar live show from Dick Move...

Press release:

100% GOOD and Meow are as thrilled as a ute driver running an amber light to announce an Xmas Party? In Wellington? With bands? In THIS economy?!

Joining us for this super special extravaganza are Auckland’s favourite phallic-themed punk supergroup DICK MOVE, who’s last show melted the stage ahead of The Chats (who then had to play in the foyer). Soft Plastics have been earning an excellent live reputation with their unique brand of indie rock, sharing stages with the likes of Silicon, King Sweeties, Wax Chattels and many more! Vera Ellen returns to us from sunny LA, with a guitar in hand and an excellent debut album in It’s Your Birthday. And we’re super stoked to have a closing set from Lontalius/Eddie Johnston’s DJ moniker Race Banyon to see you through the night.
