Anyone melting in today's summer heat should appreciate the breezy grooves of Toro y Moi's new single 'The Loop'. A low key soul-funk jammer calling to mind the home-pressed spirit of the People's Potential Unlimited back catalogue, 'The Loop' is the latest tune to emerge from Chaz Bear's forthcoming album MAHAL, dropping in full this April via Dead Oceans. It's been a minute since Toro y Moi graced our shores (2014's Big Day Out to be precise) — savour the chill vibes and Company Studio's joyful streetwise visuals for Bear's latest, and remain hopeful for a sooner-rather-than-later Aotearoa appearance from the genre-spanning US artist once borders finally reopen...
