Summer Thieves Unveil 'Is It Really Over (Amamelia Remix)'
Helping prep our ears for forthcoming launch of Summer Thieves' Paradise Down The Road Remixed album, the LOOP team dish up a future-friendly appetiser in the form of Amamelia's rework of 'Is It Really Over?'. Frontman Jake Barton's soulful vocals glide atop the Tāmaki dance producer's cyber-jacked vision of liquid metal breakbeats and shimmering synths, intertwined with vibe-enhancing outbursts of electric guitar — recalling the hazy spirit of 808 State's 'Pacific State' reimagined for Aotearoa's sun-soaked festival party-goers. The full collection drops on 4th March, featuring fresh versions of songs from 2021's Paradise Down The Road conjured into reality by Leaping Tiger, Sanoi, Hood Rich, Scott Tindale, Out Of Sorts, KÉDU CARLÖ and peak:shift, plus a second Amamelia track for good measure.
