Bryony Matthews Shares Video For New Single 'Who Am I Now'

Chris Cudby / Monday 28th February, 2022 11:59AM

Ōtautahi songwriter Bryony Matthews returns after five years downtime between releases with new single and video 'Who Am I Now'. Radiating a reflective ambience, yet uplifting in its questing lyricism and soaring choruses, the affecting tune was recorded with friends Amiria Grenell, Josh Holmes, Victoria Knopp and Ryan Fisherman, who recorded and co-produced the song with Holmes (who in turn handled mastering duties). Poetically considering "the beauty and challenges as well as the questions of identity that come with the early years of motherhood," 'Who Am I Now' is the first track revealed from Matthews’ forthcoming second album, set to launch later in 2022. Unveiled last week, experience the enchanting folk pop number's accompanying new video below — directed and edited by Matthews, and shot by Marc Wilson in the coastal Canterbury suburb of New Brighton...

'Who Am I Now' is out now via major streaming services.
