Aldous Harding Shares Single / Video 'Fever'
Aotearoa songwriting icon Aldous Harding has revealed ‘Fever’, the second single / video combo from her superbly tilted forthcoming album Warm Chris. Neither a cover of the Little Willie John song made famous by Peggy Lee, nor Judas Priest's fist-pumping 1982 anthem, 'Fever' is in fact an entirely new composition. Loping grooves, sprightly piano and uplifting, almost bluesy horns intertwine with Harding's poetic reflections, declaring "all my favourite places are bars" in the refreshingly candid accompanying clip co-directed with Martin Sagadin — made with support from NZ On Air and concluding with a community dance performance, featuring handcrafted outfits spelling out the letters of the alphabet. Produced with regular collaborator John Parish, the new long player includes contributions from H. Hawkline, Seb Rochford, Gavin Fitzjohn, John and Hopey Parish, and Jason Williamson (Sleaford Mods) — experience Harding's ‘Fever’ here...
'Warm Chris' is out in full on Friday 25th March via Flying Nun in Aotearoa and 4AD overseas.
