Listen To Jeivenchy's New Album 'Fatal Attraction'
Produced by fellow Te Whanganui-a-Tara-based digital pop artist Rose Windeler (Hybrid Rose), Jeivenchy aka Jeiel Ian Veloria's stylish new long player Fatal Attraction is out today. Scooping up hyper-catchy earlier singles 'Baggage Drop' (partly sung in Tagalog), 'Mario Kart' and the dreamy 'BALENCIAGA' together with seven fresh bangers, the album is like a futuristic vision of the capital's inner city club culture. Packed full of platinum-plated hooks, Fatal Attraction sounds primed to move bodies with sleek synths and butt-shaking rhythms, while allowing space for the Filipino songwriter / performance artist's stunning vocal skills to shine. Exploring themes of "capitalism, grief and failed relationships" and inspired by Jeivenchy's own "struggles with money, dating and substance abuse," there is no doubt these songs would be majestic in a live context — with tracks like the Italo inflected 'I'm Ready To Go' and the slamming 'I'm Leavin II' hitting hard, closing up with the powerful 'God Is Good, I'm Not'. Listen here and watch the self-directed new video for album opener 'No Money', depicting Jeivenchy's death below...
'Fatal Attraction' is out now via major streaming services.
