Watch Kendall Elise's Video For 'Honest Hand'
Performing a sold out show tonight at The Wine Cellar, Papakura's Kendall Elise speaks volumes in her silent film-inspired video for ‘Honest Hand’, from new album Let The Night In. Elise's nursing duties of providing a good ol’ leeching is disrupted by panicky protestors, an over the top evangelist and a skeezy snake oil salesman in directer Amber Beaton's satirical new clip, made with the help of NZ On Air. Drawing inspiration from such gothic classics as 1922's Nosferatu, the black and white vintage-style visuals illustrate the song's theme of "the way people react aggressively and to fear and uncertainty, and how that can be amplified online." Set in Ōtautahi’s Ferrymead Park, protestors hold signs such as “Don’t Zoom My Womb” and “Trains Ruin Brains” — referring to the newfangled rail network’s supposed dangers.
Get into your own moon mood by watching Elise's video below (guest starring Adam Hattaway), plus grab tickets while you can for remaining dates of her Let The Night In album release tour...
