PARK RD Announce Auckland 'Stupid Stories' EP Release Show

Amassing a fervant fanbase for their sun-dappled sounds since the launch of their 2020 Sandcastles EP, Tāmaki Makaurau's PARK RD have revealed their next move, announcing a launch party for their forthcoming Stupid Stories EP at The Tuning Fork on 11th June. Hugely popular on Aotearoa's gig and summer festival circuit, PARK RD shows are typically sold out affairs, so you better not drag your heels to catch the five piece of Tom Chamberlain, Angus Hampton-Carr, Leo Crawshaw-Bond, Carlos Martin and Te Kapua Pene in action, playing brand new songs this winter....

The Tuning Fork are excited to announce PARK RD’s Ep, ‘Stupid Stories,’ Release Show coming to The Tuning Fork Stage June 11th, 2022. PARK RD are a 5-piece indie-pop band from West Auckland in New Zealand. Formed while studying together in 2018, Park RD have since released their debut EP, sold out multiple shows around the country, and played The Garden Stage at Rhythm and Vines as well as a headline slot at Sound Splash.

Their full lineup is Tom Chamberlain on vocals, Angus Hampton-Carr on lead guitar, Leo Crawshaw-Bond on guitar, Carlos Martin on bass, and Te Kapua Pene on drums.

In 2019 Park RD released Surfer Boy Paradise and in 2020 they released their highly anticipated first body of work - their EP Sandcastles. The band has since received over 3 million streams on Spotify.

Their new EP “Stupid Stories” is set to release on June 10th. An incredibly exciting body of work that has seen singles ‘I Got You, Control and Coastline’ all reach the NZ hot singles chart, as high as number 4.
