Press release:
The two-headed beast that is Head Like A Hole and Beastwars are set to melt faces and shake the foundations at Studio The Venue in Auckland on November 19. Also joined by Auckland rockers Dead Favours, this is going to be one monster of a show.
Head Like A Hole tumbled nude, loose and loud out of Wellington in 1990, and have continued to dominate the NZ live rock scene ever since. These undomesticated animals of NZ rock possess an abundance of unrestrained energy, dubious humour and an enviable chemistry that will be sure to whip Tāmaki Makaurau into a sweaty frenzy this November.
Beastwars, the heavy sludge warlords hailing from Wellington, unleashed their brand of glorious doom metal onto the planet in 2009, and are now established as one of New Zealand’s most powerful and uncompromising groups. They bring together a pummelling intensity, beautiful brutality and sonic paranoia to create a sound all of their own. Obey the riff…
Dead Favours established themselves with hit singles Dig, High Flying and On Your Own. The band have made a serious dent in the local rock scene having toured with both Rise Against and Royal Blood, and have played Rock the Park as well as the Homegrown Music Festival.
