Hollywood Nights Auckland Festival Announced ft. LEAO, Church & AP, Vanessa Worm + More

Taking over Avondale's opulent The Hollywood for three nights in June, Hollywood Nights is an entirely free festival happening just before and during Aotearoa's inaugural Matariki holiday weekend. Made possible by the Local Activation Fund Programme, each night offers a specially curated bill of live performances and DJs to keep punters toasty this winter, showcasing a diversity of Tāmaki Makaurau-based musical mega-talents.

Night one is a celebration of electronic dance, club-friendly rhythms and sonic excursions, featuring Vanessa Worm (newly based in Auckland), motorik / kosmische super-trio Half Hexagon (Yolanda Fagan, James Milne and Julien Dyne), galaxy brain synthesist Kraus and Friendly Potential DJs, plus a yet to be announced special guest. Night two is an evening of guitar-slinging, multi-instrumental magic, featuring LEAO (Noa Records), Phoebe Rings, Carnivorous Plant Society and DJ Tuāfale Tanoa’i. The Hollywood will host a massive hip hop and RnB rager on the concluding Friday, starring Church & AP, PollyHill, LB, FABLE and Lutherlancelot. Presenting HOLLYWOOD NIGHTS - three nights of music at the wonderful Hollywood Avondale - the jewel in the crown of suburban western Auckland! Although it’s getting darker - the bright lights of the Hollywood will be shining as brightly as the Matariki constellation this June with a different set of wonderful artists set to grace the stage over three wonderful evenings.

Each night will feature a mixture of live musical performances and DJs to warm your feet and hearts. And it’s absolutely FREE

Hollywood Nights will take place under the ORANGE light setting of the Covid-19 Protection Framework - PLEASE STAY HOME IF YOU FEEL UNWELL & Wear a mask when unable to socially distance inside the venue
