Jenny Mitchell Shares New Album 'Tug Of War' + Announces Nationwide Tour

2019 Best Country Music Artist winner Jenny Mitchell has graced this Friday with a cavalcade of musical riches, including her first new album in four years Tug Of War and the announcement of a nationwide release tour. Produced by Matt Fell, the southern songwriter's long-awaited record features Tami Neilson on country / soul ballad 'Trouble Finds a Girl' (with a powerful video released in March for International Women's Day) — gathering together earlier singles 'Somehow’, ‘Lucy’ and ‘Snakes in the Grass’ alongside a fresh crop of heartstring-plucking, never before heard tunes, including new single 'If You Were a Bird'.

Directors Wade McClelland and Bradon McCaughey's video for 'If You Were a Bird' stars Mitchell with sisters Maegan and Nicola (who also appear on the recording), singing the love song on what looks to be the same set as the flower-festooned photographic artwork for Tug Of War, made with support from NZ On Air. Don't miss Michell with her sisters and band touring throughout Aotearoa from August to October, gig-goers can look forward to "songs inspired by new love, change, loss and her discovery of Lucille Ball"...
