Richmond, Virginia hip hop adventurer Lil Ugly Mane aka Travis Miller (Bedwetter, Shawn Kemp, Vudmurk) has announced a pair of Aotearoa headline gigs at Tāmaki Makaurau's Neck of the Woods and Pōneke's Meow in November. Cited by The Needle Drop and Pitchfork as a landmark underground release of the era, Lil Ugly Mane's 2012 debut album Mista Thug Isolation channeled the murderously raw influence of Memphis Rap and earned praise from no less than Tyler, the Creator and Earl Sweatshirt. Reactivated following a few years hiatus with 2021's emotive and sampladelic "alternative rock" studio record volcanic bird enemy and the voiced concern (which has drawn comparison with Folk Implosion and Beck's lo-fi early releases), Lil Ugly Mane is bringing his genre-defying catalogue our way for one heck of a party this November — brought to you by the Wavyland crew...

WAVYLAND proudly presents Virginia-based rapper Lil Ugly Mane. Known for his cloudy production and sinister lyrical style he is widely considered as one of the most legendary artists of the past decade, with his 2012 album Mista Thug Isolation being considered seminal for underground rap.

Known for his absurd side projects and aliases including Shawn Kemp, Vudmurk and Bedwetter, Lil Ugly Mane's most recent project Volcanic Bird Enemy and the Voiced Concern was released in 2021, a surprise left-turn into sampladelic alternative rock recalling the output of '90s labels like Slabco and Grand Royal.

Lil Ugly Mane will bring his eclectic cross-genre catalogue to tour Australia and NZ visiting Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Wellington & Auckland during November.
