Dry Cleaning Announce Debut New Zealand Headline Shows
South London's Dry Cleaning thrill local fans (including the UTR team) with the announcement of their first ever Aotearoa headline shows, happening this December at Tāmaki Makaurau's The Tuning Fork and Te Whanganui-a-Tara's San Fran. Vocalist Florence Shaw's droll spoken word narratives paint semi-abstract yet disarmingly vivid portraits of everyday life in the UK, delivered atop of the band's volcanic noise-rock / post-punk brew — sounding at times not dissimilar to a Cronenberg telepod meltdown of Jesus Lizard and The Fall. Having launched their superb debut album New Long Leg last year via 4AD, Dry Cleaning's second long player Stumpwork will be out in October just before they head our way, scope out the event details below...
