There's a new royal regime in 2022 and we're not talking about King Charles III — Aotearoa's Princess Chelsea aka Chelsea Nikkel has unveiled today her majestic fifth studio album Everything Is Going To Be Alright. Recorded with and inspired by live bandmates Jasmine Balmer (BEING.), Simeon Kavanagh-Vincent (Lucky Boy^), David Harris (Sulfate), Joe Kaptein (Muroki) and Josh Worthington-Church (Galaxy Bear), Princess Chelsea's self-described "nervous breakdown album” doesn't flinch from addressing complex feelings on such instantly catchy numbers as 'Love Is More', 'Time' and 'I Don't Know You' — sometimes puncturing the dreamy aura of her songs with cathartic grungy guitar outbursts. Leaning into chugging heavy rock grooves on the new wavey 'We Kick Around' plus earlier single 'The Forest' and the title track, Princess Chelsea also includes a cover of Peter Ivers' discomforting Eraserhead anthem 'In Heaven'.

Presently touring the world before returning home for shows around the country with special guest Mousey, Princess Chelsea's record releases in sync with Lil Chief Records' 20th anniversary — which will be celebrated with a new single by PC and Jonathan Bree out on 23rd October.
