Thornhill Announce 'Heroine' New Zealand Shows
Melbourne metalcore titans Thornhill brought the high drama on their 2022 sophomore album Heroine and have just announced a pair of Aotearoa headline events, celebrating the new record live at Wellington's Valhalla and Auckland's Whammy Bar in February 2023. Praised by Kerrang! for their darkly compelling and daring sonic palette, Thornhill's latest long player was conceived as a tribute to American cinema and theatre, tipping the hat to such resonant touchstones as Blue Velvet, Buffy The Vampire Slayer (which was a film before it was a show) and Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo and Juliet amongst its web of influences. There's no doubt the cacophonous five piece's forthcoming visit to NZ will be an epic occasion — we advise grabbing tickets before it's too late...
