Pōneke five-piece Welcomer today share the third single from their upcoming debut EP, out November 25th via Papaiti Records. Following the sold-out success of their hometown single release show for 'A Steely Dan Covers Band', songwriter Miles Sutton continues to explore the theme of elusive memory and impending mortality. The track places the digital among the analogue, with its auto-tuned vocals and strange synths songs woven against comforting acoustic guitar that feel like rays of eternal sunshine — “It’s dizzying how casually we can die.” Sutton takes us on a journey beginning outside of a lost relative’s childhood home, spanning a drunk and dusky night to a trippy, twilight morning, where he imagines a time when someone else would take the same initiative.
