Revving up for next month's launch of their long-awaited debut album Working Title, Ōtepoti's Soaked Oats unveiled late last week newsworthy third single from the record 'Headline Opinion', plus an on-theme video edited by vocalist / guitarist Oscar Mein and made with support from NZ On Air. Pondering the endlessly churning, eternal 'now' of our contemporary news cycle, 'Headline Opinion' sounds nearly new wave punk in its angular grooves and nervy delivery, given extra bite by the mind-frazzling visual info-overload montage of vintage clippings "gathered from decades of old microfilm." Recorded with producer Tom Healy (Tiny Ruins), Working Title will be out on 18th November via Australian imprint Dot Dash — hit play on Soaked Oats' 'Headline Opinion' plus their recent video for 'Something' below, directed by Martin Sagadin...

“Headline Opinion is a song about the news. How we serve it, how we consume it, how we regurgitate it, how we serve it again and…” — Oscar Mein

'Working Title' launches on Friday 18th November via Dot Dash — vinyl and digital preorders available HERE.
