Tiny Ruins Returns With New Single ‘The Crab / Waterbaby’

One of Aotearoa's most acclaimed songwriting voices whose fans include none other than David Lynch, Hollie Fullbrook and the Tiny Ruins team of Cass Basil, Alex Freer and Tom Healy have unveiled their first official single since the pre-pandemic era. Contemplative yet nimble, ‘The Crab / Waterbaby’ arose from "a time-honoured walk around the coves of Little Muddy Creek aside the Mānukau Harbour" — feeling both intimate and expansive in scope as Fullbrook encounters an upturned crab on the sea shore, lyrically declaring "dude I know how you're feeling". Crossed fingers the beautifully arranged and recorded tune (laid down at Tāmaki Makaurau's Paquin Studios with Healy on production duties) is a sign of even more material to come from Tiny Ruins in 2023, listen here...

‘The Crab / Waterbaby’ is out today on major streaming services via Milk! Records in Australia, Marathon Artists in Europe, Ba Da Bing Records in North America and in New Zealand via Ursa Minor.
