Grace Petrie Announces Debut New Zealand Tour

Chris Cudby / Wednesday 25th January, 2023 11:41AM

With ten albums out in the world, UK songwriting sensation Grace Petrie has announced her long-awaited debut Aotearoa headline tour — performing in Pōneke, Ōtautahi and Tāmaki Makaurau this coming March. The Leicester-raised, self-proclaimed "socialist, feminist, lesbian, protest singer" has shared the stage with such fellow artist / activists as Billy Bragg and Hannah Gadsby (of Nanette fame), and co-presented award-winning podcast The Guilty Feminist, garnering a devoted fanbase via such breakout releases as her 2018 album Queer As Folk and 2021's chart-hitting Connectivity. A veteran of the stage acclaimed by The Guardian, Diva and MOJO (who named Petrie's album Heart First Aid Kit as one of their Top 10 albums of 2017), Petrie's inaugural New Zealand tour is to be missed at your peril, we advise nabbing tickets while you can...

"I’ll be visiting Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, I know it’s no consolation for losing Jacinda but we can mourn together, eh?"
