Spotlight: Pride In The Square ft. Valkyrie, Jason Parker, VERCETTI + More

Bringing together a selection of Aotearoa’s finest queer performers — including DJs, drag artists, waackers and live musicians — Pride In The Square is a free two day community celebration of "pride, summer, and performing arts," happening at Tāmaki Makaurau Aotea Square this February as part of the 2023 Auckland Pride Festival. Artists bringing the boogie back to the central city include rock / hip hop four-piece Valkyrie, dance-pop rising star Jason Parker (featured on Hybrid Rose's latest album HyperKunt), local tune-spinners VERCETTI, Sharon from Payroll, DIESEL and a whole lot more.

The inclusive all-ages extravaganza also features yum food and thirst quenching beverages from the Container in the Square Café and pop-up food trucks provided by Auckland Night Markets, plus there'll be a variety of documentaries and community chats for rainbow rangatahi and whānau to check out. Save the dates, sample releases by the aforementioned artists and scope out the lineup details revealed so far below — the organisers encourage you to "put on your best party ‘fit and we’ll see you there"...
