Guardian Singles Announce New Album + Unveil Lead Track 'Chad and Stacey'

Chris Cudby / Wednesday 8th March, 2023 1:20PM

It feels like it's been an age since Aotearoa all-stars Guardian Singles lit up local airwaves with the urgent, nervy post-punk anthems of their 2020 self-titled debut album. Approximately one global pandemic later, the four-piece of Thom Burton (Moppy), Yolanda Fagan (Na Noise, Half Hexagon), Fiona Campbell (Vivian Girls, Chain and The Gang, Coolies) and Durham Fenwick (Green Grove) are back. Their second studio album Feed Me To The Doves will be out on 26th May via Chicago imprint Trouble in Mind, launching on swanky limited "Whirlpool Blue" swirl vinyl, plus timeless black and compact disc editions available for preorder HERE. Equally thrilling is lead track 'Chad and Stacey' premiered over at Treblezine today, an energising overload of spiky guitars, edge-of-sanity vocal outbursts and powerhouse percussion clocking in at under two minutes. Hit play on the single and check out the full tracklist below — "Preview live show dets April 1 at Whammy Backroom comin at cha soon!!!"

'Feed Me To The Doves' releases on Friday 26th May via Trouble in Mind — vinyl LP and compact disc orders available HERE.
