Sleaford Mods Unveil New Album 'UK GRIM' + Announce Second Auckland Show
Journeying down under for headline dates in Tāmaki Makaurau and Pōneke this May, Nottingham's Sleaford Mods today treat eager earholes across the globe to their new album UK GRIM. Evidently Jason Williamson and Andrew Fearn's local fanbase has expanded since they played their already legendary debut NZ gig in early 2020 (perhaps an unanticipated side-effect of the pandemic?), as they've just announced a second Auckland show at The Powerstation due to hot demand, happening on 27th May.
Pioneers of their own spoken word style of lyrically scorching and oft-bleakly funny electronic punk rants, the UK duo's new studio long player (either their 7th or their 12th, depending how you look at it) includes contributions from Florence Shaw of Dry Cleaning, and Perry Farrell of Jane's Addiction / Porno For Pyros. Smash play on UK GRIM ("put it in the fooking bin!") and watch the mind-melting visuals for 'So Trendy' ft. Perry Farrell below. Don't muck about, get tickets before it's too late — brought to you by Solid Entertainment, Banished Music, and Strange News...
