Bic Runga Announces 'Beautiful Collision' 20th Anniversary Tour

Chris Cudby / Tuesday 2nd May, 2023 12:00PM

One of Aotearoa's most cherished musical icons, Bic Runga (Ngāti Kahungunu, Rongomaiwahine) has announced a very special tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of her second album Beautiful Collision. Emerging from the not strictly halcyon era that was the early '00s (9/11 and Bush anyone?), Beautiful Collision went on to achieve a staggering eleven-time platinum status (so far), ruling the airwaves with such life affirming classics as 'Something Good', 'Get Some Sleep' and 'Listening for the Weather'. The multi-award winning songwriter and producer — whose many accolades include the Silver Scroll award, the New Zealand Order of Merit, the Legacy Award and "the most Tūī awards by any individual (twenty)" — will perform her 2002 album in full in Hastings, Tauranga, Wellington and at Auckland Town Hall (as part of Elemental Nights 2023), joined for each date by rising star Georgia Lines. Don't miss your chance to experience Beautiful Collision anew with Runga and friends at the following dates...

"Beautiful Collision was my favourite album to make, and still means a lot to me after twenty years. I hope that if these songs hold a special place for anyone, that they will enjoy celebrating the anniversary of this album with me as a complete concert performance.”
— Big Runga
