Guardian Singles Share New Album 'Feed Me To The Doves' + Announce Tour
Once a strictly summertime Tāmaki Makaurau supergroup orbiting around singer / guitarist Thom Burton (Crash Teslas fka Moppy) and drummer Fiona Campbell (Vivian Girls, Chain and The Gang, Coolies), Guardian Singles smash it out of the park this crisp autumn Friday with their second studio album Feed Me To The Doves, out today via US imprint Trouble in Mind. Yolanda Fagan (Na Noise, Half Hexagon) and Durham Fenwick (Green Grove) complete the powerhouse combo on the new record, a ten track swirling cyclone of personal / political raw nerves and breathlessly-paced post-punk hooks, recorded with Steven Marr at Roundhead Studios — feeling vast in scale while clocking in at a brisk thirty minutes all up.
Absolutely ripping onstage, Guardian Singles are celebrating with a five date nationwide tour taking them all around the motu in July and August, with special guests to be revealed, plus they'll be warming up at Bad Taste's album release gig at The Wine Cellar on 16th June with Dbldbl. Hit play on Feed Me To The Doves and don't even think of missing one of Aotearoa's finest live groups throwing down at the following dates...
