Community Garden Presents Tayhana — Auckland Show Announced

Facilitators of last month's party starring Ehua, Tāmaki Makaurau's Community Garden keep the high quality club heat coming heading our way, with the announcement Argentine DJ and producer Tayhana will be moving the crowd at Neck of the Woods on 21st July. A significantly impactful artist on a global scale, Tayhana applied her production skills to Spanish pop icon Rosalía's Grammy Award-winning 2022 album MOTOMAMI (on the track 'CUUUUuuuuuute'), and is co-founder of Latin American label / collective HiedraH Club de Baile — promoting "the singularity of identity and cultural minorities in Latin America in order to create a new libertarian policy concerning the joy of bodies". Releasing her own tracks and remixes via such imprints as N.A.A.F.I., SVBKVLT and Salviatek, the Mexico City-based artist will be joined by local trailblazers Creamy Mami and e.t.no.home. Community Garden invites you to welcome Argentina's inimitable TAYHANA.

Her immaculate "musical board"/label/party HiedraH Club de Baile has maintained its place at the forefront of Latinx and international club culture since 2013 - putting Argentina on the club map for many, and awhi-ing a new wave of Latinx club identities and political galvinisation.

Now based out of Mexico City, Tayhana's own productions and remixes for local label N.A.A.F.I. and the likes of SVBKVLT and Salviatek are favourites amongst the world's most revered DJs. She is always careful and instigative, tying together the points of being rhythmically tuned and utterly camp. These skills have now been rightfully recognised on the global pop stage, with Tayhana receiving a *Grammy* for the track "Cuuuuuuuuuute" from Rosalía’s album Motomami.

A true presence at the decks, we cannot wait to dance.
