Vincent H.L and Magic Factory Double Album Release Shows Announced
The staunchly independent 1:12 Records gang are again giving us the quality gigs this winter, presenting a pair of record release ragers starring Tāmaki Makaurau's outlaw country troubadour for the modern age Vincent H.L and booty-shaking rock 'n' roll mavericks Magic Factory. Launching his new album Golden Sun with a hometown gig at The Wine Cellar this Friday alongside buds Thee Golden Geese, Vincent H.L's mega-catchy lead single 'Pile of Dirt' is currently ruling local airwaves. Rolling out the rustic "Steve Miller Band rip-off boogie party bangers" with casual aplomb, Magic Factory's first new album since 2017's Working With Gold is also out in the world this Friday — accurately entitled Deliver the Goods and teased with monster-sized anthem 'Catfish' plus easy-going ballad 'Warm and Fine'. Don't miss the guitar-slinging pair busting out fresh tunes galore in Raglan and Lyttelton at the following dates, and nab yourself a vinyl LP copy of Vincent H.L's Golden Sun on the door at The Wine Cellar this Friday...

Press release:
1:12 Records presents an evening of DIY outlaw country and Steve Miller Band rip-off boogie party bangers, from two of the label's finest:
Vincent H.L. - Golden Sun Vinnie's new album rules. If you have any affection for Neil Young, Beck or a decent tune, you will want to buy it. And you can, at this show. After listening to the songs live.
Magic Factory - Deliver the Goods Magic Factory's second album has been a long time coming, but we hope you'll agree it's worth the wait. It features twelve familiar sounding yet 100% original songs. Magic Factory play the kind of music you find on tapes in truck stop parking lots say Vice Magazine, and we think that's pretty fair.
