Lawrence Arabia Announces Christchurch Solo Show
Aotearoa's multi-award winning tunesmith Lawrence Arabia is returning to the city where it all began, performing solo at Ōtautahi's Space Academy on 27th August. The musical nom de plum of James Milne, Lawrence Arabia recently reissued his Taite Music Prize-winning second album Chant Darling on vinyl LP, featuring his singalong classic single 'Apple Pie Bed' (co-written with Luke Buda), which took away the coveted APRA Silver Scroll Award. Milne's latest projects include high profile contributions to Lorde's third album Solar Power (he sings on 'Stoned at the Nail Salon' alongside Phoebe Bridgers, Clairo and Marlon Williams), kosmische all-stars Half Hexagon and multi-media magicians Chabs & Milky. Go catch the former Reduction Agents frontman treating Cantabrians to "a rare solo performance by Lawrence Arabia in a smallish room", plus a similarly themed gig on 12th August at the capital's Vogelmorn Upstairs...
