Phodiso (Phodiso Dintwe) finally unwraps a fresh delivery of a new video for ‘Rough’ from 2021's Act III —the final instalment from his recent three-EP series. Now based between London and Tāmaki Makarau, Phodiso incites conversation as much as movement about the struggles of underpaid workers in his bumping track. Directed by Tom Augustine and made with the support of NZ On Air, dynamic split focuses on Phodiso bridge his fire-spitting rap — “Low wages, not fine. Don’t want them, not mine” — with the lives of various proletariats kicking it breezy yet tough behind him. The Botswana-born creative is set to make a three track collaborative EP soon, before flying solo on a project planned for early next year.
