The unexpected and much pined for rebirth of British shoegaze / dreamscape legends Slowdive with their 2017 self-titled album was cause for celebration, the long dormant collective of singer / guitarists Rachel Goswell and Neil Halstead, guitarist Christian Savill, bassist Nick Chaplin and drummer Simon Scott's first official release in more than twenty years. Moving at their own pace, Slowdive today reveal their second studio long player since reuniting everything is alive — an elegant, sumptuous, and sonically dramatic eight track collection, initially conceived as a "more minimal electronic record" emerging from experiments in modular synthesis, then significantly expanded in oceanic, reverb-drenched scale.

Produced by Halstead and out today via Dead Oceans, highlights among the new songs include 'alife' echoing Blue Oyster Cult's 'Don't Fear The Reaper' in its epic sweep, the haunted intimacy of 'prayer remembered', and atmospheric pulsing opener 'shanty', served up alongside lush earlier singles 'kisses', 'skin in the game', and 'slab'. Launching today digitally, on vinyl LP (including sold out gold edition), CD and cassette, hit play on everything is alive and experience director Jake Nelson's stunning animated video for 'alife' below...

"It wouldn’t feel right to make a really dark record right now. The album is quite eclectic emotionally, but it does feel hopeful". — Neil Halstead
