Unrestful Movements North Island Shows Announced
Hailing from Rotorua and making their mark in Wellington's rowdy post-punk community during the early '80s, the songs of Unrestful Movements will soon be revisited by co-founder Glen Wilson on a one-off North Island tour. Wilson's current group Dead Simple will perform material from Unrestful Movements' three EPs this spring, unearthing searing tunes from 1982's First Movement In E♭ EP, 1983's Q: Are You A Fireman? EP (both released via Jayrem Records) and their 1986 cassette-only collection — later compiled together on 2011's Unrestful Movements CD. Originally named Unrestful Movements In The Vegetable Patch, get up to speed with Gary Steel's crucial Unrestful Movements profile for AudioCulture HERE, as well as his on-the-ball 1983 interview feature for TOM magazine archived HERE.
