Mom Jeans Touring New Zealand In December
Named after the beloved high-waisted trend of the '10s, California emo-punks Mom Jeans (also chaotically stylised as Mom Jeans.) have announced their debut Aotearoa shows, squeezing in headline dates for Tāmaki Makaurau, Te Whanganui-a-Tara and Ōtautahi at the start of summer. They'll be here touring their 2022 album Sweet Tooth (their third studio outing), a thirteen track tribute to the pop-punk era, mainlining hook-powered inspiration from such ubiquitous '90s faves as blink-182, Green Day and Weezer. Attendees can look forward to huge singalong anthems galore when Eric Butler, Austin Carango, Bart Thompson and Sam Kless hit local stages from 1st to 3rd December — best swoop on tickets when they go live this Wednesday...

Press release:
Mom Jeans will make their long awaited debut in New Zealand for three special dates in support of their latest album, Sweet Tooth, which was released in February 2022. The groups third LP is a departure from the emo sound the band mastered early on, and instead revisits late 90s and early 2000s pop rock and pop punk bliss. For frontman Eric Butler, that meant revisiting the guitar pop perfection of Weezer and Oasis alongside deep cuts from one-hit wonders like Third Eye Blind, Fountains of Wayne, and Superdrag.
