Steve Vai's epic two year Inviolate world tour touched down at Pōneke's Opera House last night, for the first of two of the US guitar god's Aotearoa headline dates with band. By all reports the two and a half hour show was an awe-inspiring extravaganza, concert attendee Lukasz Buda (The Phoenix Foundation) described the unveiling of Vai's signature triple neck guitar The Hydra as "it felt like a wrestlers trademark finishing move".
