Mogwai Returning To New Zealand This Summer
It feels like an age since Scottish avant-rock instrumentalists Mogwai touched down in Aotearoa, having last shaken the foundations of local venues eight years ago. Critical darlings from their early days in the mid-'90s right up to the launch of their 2021 Mercury Music Prize nominated, Scottish Album of The Year Award-winning latest studio record As The Love Continues — followed by 2022's Black Bird original soundtrack collection — the Glasgow four-piece will soon be unleashing their soundscape magnificence at Pōneke's The Opera House and Tāmaki Makaurau's The Powerstation. Performing material from their latest long player and "classic Mogwai tracks from their innovative career," this is what the group's legions of local fans have been impatiently waiting for. Be sure to nab tickets when they go live this coming Friday, brought to you by Solid Entertainment...
