Currently reigning supreme at the number one spot on the Official Top 20 NZ Albums chart, Aotearoa power trio Mermaidens are touring their 100% independently released self-titled new album nationwide this month and next. Treating Pōneke fans to their own jam-packed Merm-E-Mart pop up shop (pictured above) on launch day, the team of Gussie Larkin, Lily West and Abe Hollingsworth recently popped into RNZ Music's Tāmaki Makaurau studio to play selected tunes from their Samuel Flynn Scott-produced fourth studio record, joined by Louisa Nicklin on second guitar. Enjoy an appetiser of the tour to come with 'I Like To Be Alone' and 'Sour Lips' "all dressed up in pink and red for RNZ" — directed and filmed by Sports Team, edited by Ezra Simmons, and recorded / mixed by Andre Upston...
