Office Dog Unleash Video For 'The Crater'
Widely hailed as a breakout local release of 2023, Office Dog's Flying Nun debut long player Spiel is launching into the international sphere (outside of Australasia) on 26th of January courtesy of US indie rock / Americana imprint New West Records. Fronted by Kane Strang with drummer Mitchell Innes and bassist Rassani Tolovaa, the Aotearoa trio introduce themselves to overseas fans with a new video for album highlight 'The Crater'. Directed / edited by Sophie Black and made with support from NZ On Air, the beautifully shot clip presents Office Dog performing their distorto-fuzz mantra within the sublime craggy setting of the Ōmarama Clay Cliffs in Waitaki — a remote yet popular tourist hotspot, as Strang notes...
"We met there on about 4 hours sleep and trekked all of our gear up into the hills. The funny part is, it is actually an incredibly popular tourist attraction, so as soon as the sun was up, there were bus loads of people rolling through only to find a band playing the same song over and over in the middle of nowhere. In fact, behind almost every shot there was most likely about ten people walking past and taking photos of us”.
'Spiel' is out now in Aotearoa / Australia via Flying Nun Records — launching everywhere else on 26th January via New West Records.
